In addition, we will
review the most common mistakes in style and grammar and the most
effective way to use grammar check capabilities in word processing
programs.
Take-with-you Tools At the end of this workshop, participants will receive
train-the-trainer guides so that they can share the techniques that
they’ve learned in this workshop with others in their workplaces. Each
participant will also be given a coupon good for a one-hour follow-up
consultation with the instructor.
About
Marie Highby Marie Highby is an entrepreneur, writer, and coach.
Currently, Vice President of Strategy for FieldDay Solutions, Marie is
also a co-founder of 2MULES™, a political coaching and consulting
organization, and an acquisitions editor for the Happy About book
series. Earning her stripes as a writing instructor, Marie taught
business communications and technical writing at San Jose State
University from 1987 through 2005 and was in charge of SJSU Professional
Development’s Technical Writing and Communication Program. In addition
to Master Techniques for Powerful Writing, Marie will be
leading the PMBA—Preview of an MBA workshop series this Fall.
Marie’s degrees include an MA in English from Duke University and an MBA
from the Darden School of the University of Virginia
along with a certificate in coaching from the Institute of Transpersonal
Psychology.
